Testimony Poem -Anonymous Girl- Lodz Ghetto
March 10, 1942

God, what has happened to me?
The hunger is getting worse
I don't know how to restrain myself
I starve
When I eat, I eat tap water and vinegar from pickled beets
then have a stomache ache
God,
Take pity on me

Delight in Disorder Analysis

The poem "Delight in Disorder" by Robert Herrick is a description of love itself portrayed by the woman he loves.  Such as in line 1 where he describes love as a "sweet disorder in the dress." He is saying that the girl he loves is his disorder, he loves her to the point that he can't stop. Also, he tells about how the girl is walking love and calls her "fine distraction." The narrator is clearly blinded by the way she looks. The poem contains rhyme throughout the whole poem with an aa bb cc dd rhyme scheme. Also, the figurative language used in the poem are metaphors such as in line 1. The poem is actually a metaphor itself in general by comparing the girl to love.

I Loved You Analysis

" I Loved You" by Alexander Pushkin is a short and simple poem. The poem starts off in line 1 by saying," I loved you, and I probably still do," he means to say that even though that they are apart he still loves the girl. The narrator is obviously apart from the girl he loves when he says that hes doesn't wish to cause any more pain to her. Also, he wants the girl to forget the feelings that he had for her in order for her to move on with her life. The poem contains a rhyme of ab ab ab which makes the poem rhyme every other line.
